A Fresh Experience: New PractiTest UI Is Here
We’re excited to introduce the new PractiTest interface across our core modules: Tests, Test Sets & Runs, Issues, and Requirements. These modules now follow a shared structure, creating a more intuitive and consistent experience throughout the platform, helping you work more efficiently.
You can enable the new UI today by clicking your avatar at the top right and selecting “Switch to New UI.”
Note: The new UI will be enforced soon to all users, so we encourage you to start exploring and getting comfortable with the new layout now.
New Capabilities Added to the New UI
- Customize Your Entity Layout
With the new UI, you can now fully customize the layout of each entity type to match your preferences. You can add new sections, decide where they will be placed (left or right side), choose which fields to include, and set the order of fields within each section.
Note: Layouts are managed at the project level and apply to all users. Each entity type has its own layout, so changes affect only that specific entity type.
- Choose How Requirement Status Is Calculated
With the new Requirement Coverage Scope, you can control how a requirement’s status is determined. In addition to the default option (based on the last linked test run), you can choose a specific test set to track — giving you better control and more accurate coverage. - Generate Tests with Steps from Jira and Azure DevOps User Stories
Working with Jira or Azure DevOps? You can now generate new manual tests with relevant steps, directly from a linked user story in either platform. With just one click, the test is created and added to your PractiTest Test Library, helping you speed up test creation and maintain full traceability between requirements and tests.
- Interactive Smart Fox Step Generator: Smarter, More Personalized Step Generation
Our AI assistant, Smart Fox, just got interactive! Now, when automatically generating steps in manual tests, you can write your own instructions and let Smart Fox improve and tailor them to your needs — making step generation faster and easier than ever. Learn more about Smart Fox here.
- Navigate Between Entities Without Going Back
You can now move between entities using the new Next and Back arrow buttons, directly from within the entity view. No need to return to the main module screen. For example, when viewing a test in the Test Library, use the arrows to jump to the next or previous test.
